Yoghurt Drops Dog Treats – Blackdog
Yoghurt drops (yogurt) seem to be a secret held between people and dogs in the know. At the food markets I have visited and worked at on weekends, they are very popular in small packs, while a large number of people order them in bulk online from us.
These yoghurt drops are about 15 mm in diameter and 4 mm tall at the centre. They break very easily meaning that ANY dog can eat them. Often used as a training treat or just a simple reward, each button is so small that giving a few wont ruin dinner or add excess weight to your pup.
Please note that during hot summer months that Carob and Yogurt dog treats can melt in transit. They should still be safe eating, though are not as aesthetic as when in cute little button forms. We suggest if melting concerns you, to order them in the cooler months of the year.
On this site we advocate strongly for adding meat protein to your dogs diet. But some people are quite happy with what their dog food provides, and so adding a little bit of yogurt to the mix isn’t an issue for them. And considering that 70% of most dog food is non meat anyway, adding actual yogurt and milk solids to the mix (lactose free of course) … is fine if your dog loves it.
What dogs love yogurt drops?
At the end of the day, a treat should be enjoyable too (not only nutritious). If your dog doesn’t show interest in it, why would you consider it a treat? That is why we always recommend when buying such treats for the first time, you try the smaller sample sizes packs first.
Good to know that they actually include milk and yoghurt hey?
Please note if you live in a very hot area, or are considering ordering these or the carob buttons in summer, there is a possibility that they might melt some by the time you get them.
Typically, melting does not spoil the taste or enjoyment for your dog, but it does involve you cleaving them apart and the aesthetic. If we receive an order for these while Australia is going through a heat wave, we may delay sending them a few days until cooler weather.
